The issue with EU availability is a bit like the iPhone launch – everyone else already has it, we still have to wait. The reason? The EU is really serious about data protection (which is actually a good thing!). The GDPR and the new AI Act require that the Agents:
- Working in compliance with data protection regulations – no secret data collection
- Must be transparent – you have to be able to understand what the AI is actually doing
- Liability issues are clarified – who is to blame if the agent screws up?

Let’s get straight to the point: at Olbricht IT, we have been working with AI for some time now – ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot and Claude AI are in daily use. And yes, it definitely makes the development of apps and websites faster and more professional. BUT (and this is a big but): AI development is not a “press-the-button-and-get-it-done” thing! What we experience in practice:
- AI tools are turbo boosters, not autopilots
- You still need to know how to brief the AI correctly
- Quality control is mandatory – AI sometimes makes nonsense
- The fine work remains manual work – people are needed for the finishing touches
Think of it this way: AI is like a damn good assistant, but you’re still the boss. And a good boss needs to know what he wants and how to guide his assistant.
